genesis

Alfa & Omega Rosin family was born in March, 2022, from a dream to make available to everyone, an adaptive and fully customisable rosin base, that can meet the most demanding sound, environmental, bowing techniques needs, starting from a strong and projecting sound for film music recordings, to the most lyrical passages of Verdi Opera arias, where a silky sweet and warm, but also bright and luminous tone is absolutely a must. That is why composer Istvan J. Balazs, started its heavy research and development in 2021 in his quest for finding the secret recipe and the perfect blend of various rosin types and their acoustic, stickiness/gripping and bow slipping characteristics. After the final recipe has been finalised, in 2022 March, Istvan started making the first handmade premium rosins for Violin, Viola and Cello, based on his own one-of-its kind revolutionary formula called "Rewarmed Traditional Fluid Blending".

fully natural

Our rosins are fully natural products created from a mixture of various highly purified pine tree resins, then, further specific natural ingredients are also added, carefully distilled, blended and mixed at low temperatures in order to preserve the original physical and acoustic characteristics of the final rosin cake.

unique features

Alfa & Omega rosins are specially designed for both the advanced and professional string players. They all feature a fabulously close to zero dust and high grip, a powerfully projecting and strong tonal character. At the same time it highly supports the player in the most demanding bowing techniques from expressive, lyrical, gently emotive legato and glissando passages, to ultra fast ostinatos and ricochets adding body, roundness, lively silky sweet, smooth, luminous and round sound to it. All our rosins are customised to be able to fully adapt to the specific string instrument´s string and bow ideal grip/stickiness/slipping adequate ratio requirements.
