ABOUT
Istvan is a Hungarian music composer with a demonstrated experience and strong passion for writing, orchestrating and producing original, strong emotional, highly evocative, impactful and unforgettable music for motion picture, for best supporting his film director and content creator partners in their successful storytelling.
He is also an Academy Voting Member of the World Soundtrack Awards, actively working together in the Academy with Hollywood´s top-notch composers such as Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, Alexandre Desplat, Alan Silvestri, Howard James Newton, Gregson-Williams Rupert and many others in deciding who wins the Film Composer of the Year, Best Original Song written directly for a Film and Television Composer of the Year Awards by casting their votes in two rounds.
Istvan is known for his scores for movies such as the Awarding Winning American Family Revival(US, 2019), When To You Turn To God(HU, 2016), One Day of The Karoli Family(HU, 2018), Jungle(AT, 2019), 2023 (The Return of The King of Kings, Musical in pre-production)
Being also a cellist, István is handmading for his own film score recordings, various types of cello bow rosins, to further enhance and widen his sonic colour + mood palette. Currently he is also working in finishing the development of a string rosin called "Alfa & Omega" which intends to bring a high-quality and highly affordable bow rosin for both student and professionally trained musicians, covering the demand of the whole range of string players such as violinists, violist, cellist and bassists. The manufacturing of the "Alfa & Omega" rosin has just started in 2022.05.01 at his home in Hungary and the various rosin types are available on Istvan´s website.

I am so honoured to create the Digital Orchestration (MIDI Mockup) of QUO VADIS (1951) movie's Main Title Theme for "The Miklós Rózsa Society" to support their efforts in preserving the immensely rich and outstanding musical heritage of Miklós Rózsa, multiple Oscar winner Hungarian composer, one of the founding fathers of the Hollywood Golden Age Film Music.
The aim of the Digital Reconstruction (MIDI Mockup) was to preserve the legendary film music legacy of Miklós Rózsa, Hungarian Multi-Oscar Winner Hollywood Composer, known for his iconic/epic scores such as the "Spellbound", "Quo Vadis", "Ben-Hur", "The Thief of Bagdad", "El Cid" and many others.
